As with all local authorities and Central Government, Coventry City Council's spend is governed by rules and regulations including internal standing orders and the Public Contract regulations (2015). From 24 February 2025, the legislative framework through which the Council procures will be the Procurement Act 2023 and where appropriate, the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
Coventry City Council operate a centralised Procurement Services team who undertake corporate and strategic procurement as well as being a hub of expertise for service areas.
